Contracts extended for YAS HEAT pro driver line-up

Following the celebration of its first birthday last month, YAS HEAT ESPORTS continues to go from strength to strength. The Yas Marina Circuit-based squad has now re-signed over three quarters of its original driver line-up with 11 of its all-star racers across Assetto Corsa, iRacing and Gran Turismo opting to continue their journey with the team.

In the 12 months since its inception, YAS HEAT has hit some impressive milestones. Having entered over 1,500 races, more than 650 of them have yielded victories while almost 1,000 podiums have been recorded.

One of the many highlights from this incredible first year was Angel Inostroza’s qualification for the virtual Olympics. Finishing seventh overall, the Chilean racer has shown blistering pace on numerous occasions.

As a result of such a strong first year, the team has retained Jaroslav Honzik (Jardier), Eamon Murphy and Mikhail Statsenko for its Assetto Corsa line-up, Ebrahim Almubarak and Angel Inostroza for Gran Turismo competitions and many of its iRacing drivers: Balázs Remenyik, Dean Woods, João Vaz, Josh Lad, Ross Woodford, Andre Martins and Dean Woods.

George Boothby has also recently joined the team’s Assetto Corsa squad and wasted no time in proving his worth, winning the first championship he entered for YAS HEAT in the Apex Online Racing league.

Angel Inostroza: “Being able to join this team was a step forward in my sim racing career and my goal is to keep growing alongside everyone here, so we can reach better things as the time passes.”

Mikhail Statsenko: "I’m very happy to continue working with YAS HEAT because of its reliability and professionalism."

Jaroslav Honzik (Jardier): “I choose to re-sign because I have never been in a happier and more professional team in my career and I really hope this will continue for years to come!”

Balázs Remenyik: “I'm really happy that I have the opportunity to continue with my teammates in the YAS HEAT squad for a second year. I enjoyed my first year here a lot. I think we learned a lot together and we can be even more successful this season.”
